The Public Outreach Committee coordinates Public Information within the Greater Pittsburgh Area and responds to requests from persons in helping professions (police, medical facilities, social workers, etc) to supply information about Al-Anon.
Volunteer Opportunities
You Know How Much Al-Anon Has Given You, Why Not Consider Giving Something Back!
The Public Outreach Committee is forming a group of volunteers to contact schools, businesses, health and human service agencies and faith communities and let them know who we are, what we do and how we can help. Your time commitment can be as minimal or as involved as you like.
The Al-Anon Speakers Bureau is back! If you’d like to share your own story of strength and hope (guided and governed, always, by the 11th Tradition) on a podcast, at community luncheons or sharing your journey with local health care workers, we would like to hear from you.
TikTok, Instagram, BlueSky, X, Facebook . . it’s time our local groups make themselves known on social media. Let’s get Pittsburgh Al-Anon on the Socials! If you would like to be part of the effort to help increase Greater Pittsburgh Al-Anon’s cyber footprint, come join our Social Media Team.
